ECFE offers an opportunity for you to spend time with your children. It is not a preschool, nursery school, or drop-off daycare. It is a family-centered session with emphasis on strengthening your family. Whether you are employed, at home, single or teenaged, ECFE is for residents in our community who are the parents of young children. (Grandparents and legal guardians are welcome, too!) Interpreters are available for hearing impaired parents. Arrangements can be made for any special needs within the family.
ECFE offers: weekly classes, special events, a lending library full of books for parents and kids and a connection to area resources.
What is an ECFE Weekly Class?
Each quarter (Fall & Winter/Spring) ECFE offers ongoing classes which meet one time per week. Classes are informal, each is meant to be a time for you to relax, enjoy your child and meet other parents in a sharing of experiences, ideas and questions. Classes have two main portions; the first portion is a parent/child activity time followed by an educational play program for children and a parent discussion facilitated by a parent educator. If you have other children and decide to attend class with just one child, sibling care is available. The fee for sibling care is $2/child per class meeting.
